The bar in the middle symbolizes chi [ qi] the vital force that runs through all of life and the wellspring [spirit] of all creation; the two snakes coiled around it, yin and yang, represent polarity and the different manifestations of chi as they are affected by space and time; the bagua [the eight trigrams[ symbolize the eight directions; the five colors around the bagua, the five elements; and the four dragons, the four seasons and the four types of energy. This is basis of holism and what gives everything from the atom to the galaxies balance, harmony order and oneness.
This website has been built to provide a medium for showing videos that were recorded when Lama Nicholas visited Stroud UK at various times in 2017 where he gave various talks on the philosophy behind his healing.
The website is a work in progress and will be updated again soon.
Nicholas Packard is the founder of the NFP organisation 'The Tao of Holistic Living'. Born in America, he has spent the past 25 years in the East, mainly in India, China and Thailand. He has lived in the Himalayas of India and the mountains of China where he was trained by many great masters in the philosophy and practice of Tai Chi and Qigong. Over the years he has helped countless sick people all over the world using the principles of spiritual healing, as well as Chinese acupressure and Qigong methods of healing. When appropriate he also uses Chinese acupressure to touch certain points on the body which, when pressed, will either disperse blocked energy or stimulate and energise certain areas of the body. But most of the time, he uses Qigong methods of healing and simultaneously calls on higher powers for assistance. In addition to his own personal form of healing, he strongly believes that sick people need to take responsibility for their illness, by regulating their dietary habits, their bodies, their minds, their breath, and their spirits. He now lives mainly in Bangkok, Thailand and in Bhutan.
